Product Description
Type button fill fountain pen
Product Name Merlina
Manufacturer and Year Merlin, Denmark or the Netherlands, 1950s. There's some suggestion the pens were manufactured in Germany.
Length 4-1/2" -- this is a very slender and small pen
Filling System Button filler (we replaced the sac)
Color White "cracked ice" celluloid with black veins. Gold filled or plated trim.
Nib 14k nib is fine with nice flex, excellent every day flex, just a bit better than semi-flex. The lion head identifies it as being made by Rupp in Germany. Writing sample below.
Condition New old stock and in unused condition for this pretty little pen. The color is bright and consistent and the pen has a nice sheen. Barrel and cap have light marks, but no deep scratches. The clip and trim were very thinly plated to begin with, and none of the plating survived polishing and little remains even though these pens have never been used. No cracks or chips. The imprints are clear.
