Product Description
Type | fountain pen |
Product Name | unknown |
Manufacturer and Year | Monroe Pen, New York, 1930s. This pen company is one of the better 3rd tier makers, and has a bit of a following in the fountain pen collecting world. |
Length | 4-1/8" |
Filling System | Fills via a lever system. We've replaced the ink sac with a silicone sac and the filling system works very well and should last for years. |
Color | Very nice black and pearl marble celluloid. Tiered end caps. Gold plated trim (a lot of the plating is worn off). |
Nib | Flexible Monroe "Sky-Taper" 14k nib. Line varies from fine to medium. |
Condition | Very nice used condition. Some marks on the body and cap, but no cracks, and it is very shiny and smooth with nice and even color. The main flaw is the wear to the gold plating remaining on the clip, and the scratches on the clip. It writes beautifully and has great ink flow. |
