Product Description
Type Cartridge/converter filling fountain pen
Product Name Meisterstuck Classique R, the model name changed from 144 to Classique in the 1990s. Since it doesn't say 144 on the cap band, it should be a Classique. The "R" indicates Bordeaux.
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany -- Late 1980s, based off the imprints. The cap band doesn't say 144, indicating that it's from around 1990s, and the clip band says "W-Germany", from the 1980s.
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Takes Montblanc cartridges and converters. A piston converter is installed. There is some variation between "standard" international cartridges and converters. Most short cartridges should fit but the converters are trickier to match.
Color Bordeaux with gold plated trim. It is a dark red and is lighter than it looks in the photographs.
Nib FINE Montblanc 14k nib marked 4810. It's slightly springy and smooth with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent + condition. The pen has no scratches, cracks, or chips. The nib collar has a few dots of corrosion on the facet nearest the nib, so it's not very noticeable when writing. The imprints are clear.
