Filling System Piston filler. Tested with water.
Color Black cap, section, and end piece with gold plated trim. The trim and barrel are both decorated with x's and diamonds. There is a small (synthetic) sapphire cabochon in the clip. Fyodor Dostoevsky's signature is to the right of the clip.
Nib FINE 18k nib. It's very smooth.
Condition Near mint condition in box. There is light handwear on the cap and barrel. The ink viewing window is clean, with no indications that the pen was ever inked. It has been dipped, but never fully inked. The trim has some polishing marks, but no brassing or wear. There's a pattern of vertical lines in the black band between the two gold bands - these are normal and we've seen them before in other instances of this model. The original nib size sticker is affixed to the piston knob. Ships in Montblanc Writers Edition book style box, with outer printed sleeve and plain white cardboard outer sleeve.
