Product Description
Type Modern luxury fountain pen, works well, converter included.
Product Name Harmony fountain pen, it's just like the Symphony series only in resin instead of celluloid.
Manufacturer and Year Montegrappa, Italy -- 1990s.
Length 5-7/16 inches, a semi-fat pen with dimensions similar to Pelikan m800 or the Montblanc 146.
Filling System It's fitted with a Montegrappa converter which can be removed to accept cartridges. It is international refill compatible. We've cleaned and tested it to ensure it is working properly.
Color Blue and green semi-transparent faceted resin. It's patterned to be mosaic or cracked ice-like. The green is a bright yellow green and more transparent than the blue. It has sterling trim including 7/16 inch wide cap band marked 1912 Montegrappa, and an end piece with threads in it for posting the cap.
Nib Medium Montegrappa 18k gold two-tone nib mostly silver colored with a Greek key design in gold. It has lovely tipping, and springiness for soft writing. The nib is labeled B for broad, but it has been cut down to write more like a medium. There's minimal, if any, line variation. See the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. The facets have very few marks and no handwear. The sterling has some polishing marks on the cap band and clip. The sterling section has some scratches on it that match the cap threads. The clear plastic lining of the cap is cracked. The red orange line beneath the clip is the plastic piece coming loose. The sterling and nib have been polished a bit since photographed. The cap lip has much less tarnish and the ink residue around the nib is gone. The black mark on the barrel threads is also removed. No cracks, dings, dents, or personalization in the celluloid or sterling. The pen has been cleaned and tested; it's working very well. No box or paperwork.
