Product Name Reminiscence Series
Manufacturer and Year Montegrappa, Italy -- 1983-84. The 1055VI hallmark indicates the pen was made in Venice during the Aquila ownership. The model was introduced in 1983 and switched from ebonite to sterling sections in 1984.
Length 4-15/16" There were two sizes; this is the smaller one
Filling System Takes international cartridges and converters. A piston converter is installed and two short black cartridges are included.
Color Vermeil pen with hard rubber section. The end of the barrel is threaded for posting. There is minimal patterning and no facets. It is hallmarked 925 for the sterling beneath the gold plating.
Nib MEDIUM 14k nib. It is partially masked and has an M written near the base. A smooth nib with the earlier Reminiscence nib design.
Condition Superior condition with no dents, dings or cracks. Minimal plating wear. It makes sense that the end of the barrel has some from posting. Since the pen is nearly entirely metal there are visible polishing marks and signs of handwear. Ships with box, paperwork, pen sleeve, and matching (though not vermeil) pen tube.
