Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name The Moore Writer
Manufacturer and Year The Moore Pen Co., Boston, Mass., U.S.A. -- 1930s.
Length 4-7/8 inches.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black cap and barrel in a multi-faceted design. Gold plated trim with a beautiful wide cap band featuring an elegant design.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Moore 14k gold #2 nib is very smooth with gorgeous tipping material. It's almost what we would call fully flexible, with easy line variation from fine to a nice broad under only very light pressure, and larger lines with a bit more pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. No dings, dents, or personalization. The trim shows widespread (though not eye-catching) plating wear, and there are some scratches and marks on the cap and barrel. Some lesser warping marks are apparent on the cap and barrel as well, along with some tiny cosmetic cracks on the crown of the cap (these have no affect on how the pen works). The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
