Product Description
Type Lever fill fountain pen with a great flexible nib
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Morrison Fountain Pen Company, New York (1930s). Morrison was one of the third tier pen makers who actually made some very nice pens, this being one of them.
Length 5-3/16" and quite fat.
Filling System Lever filler, we've stored it with a new sac and it's working perfectly.
Color Black hard rubber with a lined chasing pattern, 18k 1/20 gold filled trim.
Nib MEDIUM Morrisons 14k nib is somewhat flexible and smooth, with pretty nice tipping material. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition, no cracks or chips or personalization. There's some wear, and hints of brassing on the lower edge of the cap band (see photos), along with some plating wear on the ball of the clip and just the very edges of the lever. The hard rubber has discolored only slightly, but it is still very dark. The imprint is a little worn, but still very readable. Overall the pen is looking quite attractive, with signs of light use, and it's working very well after our restoration process.
