Product Name Nakaya single pen stand Kuro-tamenuri.
Manufacturer and Year Nakaya, Japan -- circa 2010s.
Length The base is a 4" diameter circle, and is about 3/4" high. The trumpet is about 4-1/2" tall, and holds a single pen. According to the Nakaya web site, it accommodates pens with a 15mm thickness.
Filling System None. Any pen that's 15mm in diameter should fit.
Color Kuro-tamenuri. This urushi finish/technique is characterized by a red underlayer with black top layer. Right now, that red peeks through on the edges, and as it is handled over time, the black coat will wear away and reveal more red. The base is made of wood, and the trumpet is resin; both are urushi coated.
Condition Excellent + condition. The base looks fantastic. There's one small scuff on the top (about 1/4" x 1/8"), but no other scratches or chips. The trumpet does have some light scratching on the inside.
