Manufacturer and Year Parker, England -- 1970s. The Deluxe version wasn't a launch version, it came at the end of the model 17 product life.

Filling System Aerometric squeeze filler like the later Parker 51s and the Parker 21s. Tested and working well, guaranteed for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Dark red section and barrel; shiny chrome cap with a straight line pattern; gold plated clip; red jewel on top of cap. Original chalk mark on barrel noting "Parker 17 M".
Nib MEDIUM gold nib. It is hooded and similar to the Parker 51.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a dark red, shiny pen that is in lovely condition including the original barrel chalk mark noting maker, model, and nib size. The section and barrel have just some very light scratching. The cap is beautiful and glinty with very light microscratching. The clip has some plating wear near the arrow end. The top matching cap jewel is excellent. The imprints are clear.
