Product Description
Type Cartridge/converter filling fountain pen and pencil set, working well.
Product Name Parker 45 GT
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- early 1970s.
Length Fountain pen is 5-3/8" long, and the pencil is just a hair over 5".
Filling System Fountain pen takes Parker cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink. A squeeze converter is installed, and a vintage Super Quink cartridge is included in the box. The pencil takes .9mm leads, which extend and retract by twisting the top half.
Color Midnight Blue section and barrel with flighter (brushed steel) cap and gold plated trim.
Nib FINE 14k nib made in the USA. There is an "F" on the collar just below the feed. Firm and smooth, with excellent tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition in box. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The fountain pen has some faint microscratching, but for the most part looks very clean. Minimal capping or posting marks on the section and barrel. The pencil looks fantastic. Almost no signs of use, but there is a tiny touch of brassing on the nose cone. The imprints on both pieces are clear. The box looks almost new.
Both pieces are personalized on the caps with "Graduation 1972" in italic script. The whole thing, including the box, is in such great shape that we wonder whether someone got it as a graduation present, tossed it in a drawer and forgot about it for almost 50 years.
