Product Name Parker 51 Aerometric Flighter, this is the earlier version with a gold plated band. They made this version from 1950 to 1960.

Filling System Aerometric squeeze filling system. It has been tested and is working well.
Color Brushed steel with "lustraloy" finish and a 1-1/2" long arrow clip. The section is black and the trim is gold plated. The trim includes a raised narrow cap band. Usually these bands are flush to the surface of the cap, so this one might be a replacement. The cap has a pearlescent cap jewel.
Nib FINE gold nib.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks for this smooth and shiny vintage fountain pen. There is heavy scratching on the clutch ring (see photos). The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as moderate to heavy scratching and microscratching. The end of the barrel has small dents. The cap has moderate scratching. There is a shiny mark to the left of the end of the arrow clip. The slightly raised cap band has moderate microscratching all over as well as a tad of plating wear especially along the upper edge of the band. The clip has plating wear along the arrow edge and small scratches. The clip band has pitting along the upper edge. The imprints are clear.
