Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in working order.
Product Name Parker 51 Aerometric.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1950s (We couldn't find a date code and based off of the cap information the pen is from the mid 1950s).
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filling system.
Color Midnight blue with a stainless steel "Lustraloy" cap and a 1-1/2" long arrow clip. Pearlescent cap jewel. The blue is very dark in hand but with direct lighting it is clearly blue with no green tones. In indirect lighting it is a blue-black.
Nib Fine 14k gold nib. It writes smoothly and has large tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap has a perfect looking cap jewel. It does have a horizontal ring around the cap body as if the clip was loose and spun around the circumference. The clip is now tight and stays nicely in place. Cap also has slight denting around the edge, but not enough to scratch the body when removing or replacing the cap. Slight plating wear on the clutch ring (visible in pictures), but the clip looks perfect. The body has some capping marks and handwear. No cracks, chips, or personalization. The pen is working very well.
