Type Vintage fountain pen and mechanical pencil set in box. Hard to find color!
Product Name Parker 51 Aerometric
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1951. There are clear "51" date codes on both pieces.
Length The fountain pen is 5-7/16" long. The mechanical pencil is 5-/16".
Filling System The fountain pen has an aerometric squeeze filling system. Tested and working well. The pencil takes 0.9mm leads, which extend by clicking the cap.
Color Forest Green with stainless steel "Lustraloy" caps and arrow clips. Pearlescent cap jewels. The green is very dark and is almost like a green-black in hand.
Nib FINE gold nib. The sticker is still attached on the pen and confirms that it's a fine.
Condition Superior condition, in original box. Stickers are still attached to both pieces, suggesting that they haven't seen much use. Fountain pen: the section hood and front of the barrel only has faint scratching from the cap lip, so we don't think this has been used very much. The rest of the barrel only has microscratching we only see a bit of microscratching. The cap looks essentially perfect. Mechanical pencil: again the sticker is still attached. There is faint microscratching on the barrel. The cap, clip, and cap jewel look perfect. The imprints are clear. The box has shop wear, and some tears on edges.
