Product Description
Type Fountain pen with a squeeze "Aerometric" filling system.
Product Name Parker 51 Mark III.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA – after 1973 (1973 is when the metal cap jewels were officially adopted).
Length Full size, 5-1/4".
Filling System Aerometric squeeze fixed filling system ("press 4 times"). We've tested it and it's working very well.
Color Navy blue body with a brushed steel Lustraloy cap with a long arrow clip and a silver colored cap jewel. The cap jewel is part of the clip and tassie. There is a narrow gold trim band at the end of the section hood; previous versions had a clutch ring here that functioned to keep the cap attached, but the ring here is only decorative, not functional.
Nib FINE gold nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The cap has some scratching on the lower third nearest the lip, and a shiny spot where the clip rubs. The clip looks great, with just a small bit of plating wear on the arrow tip. The end of the section and front of the barrel have moderate scratching likely caused by the cap lip. The rest of the barrel has light scratching. The imprints are clear.
