Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Parker "51" Aerometric .... this has a non-standard barrel with a jewel-tassie.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA and Argentina; Ariel Kullock, Argentina -- Assembled in Argentina using Parker new old stock parts and re-manufactured parts. The cap is from a Parker 51 and the filling system has writing in Spanish. We think the barrel was probably made by Kullock because Parker 51 aerometrics did not have barrel jewels.
Length 5-1/2" (the cap fits tightly on the clutch ring)
Filling System Aerometric Squeeze Filling System. Tested and working well.
Color Velvety, shiny black barrel and section with a brushed metal cap, gold blue diamond clip, double pearlescent cap jewels.
Nib MEDIUM Steel Nib.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a velvety, shiny black pen. The section and barrel look great with just some light scratching, a bit more on the section than on the barrel. The cap is very solid with a visible brushed texture. There are a few longer scratches and some microscratches but overall it is excellent. The clip has plating wear on the arrow end, and the blue diamond has some chipping on the corners. The clip ring has plating wear and pitting, this is the oldest part of the pen and it shows the most wear. The top cap jewel is missing an arc of material and has a small gap on one edge where it does not touch the clip ring (see photo below). The pearlescent jewel on the end of the barrel looks beautiful. The Parker imprint on the clip is clear. There are no other imprints.
