Type Vintage vacumatic filling fountain pen, in the smaller of the two sizes.
Product Name Parker "51" Vacumatic Demi.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1948 (the imprint is a clear 8).
Length 4-13/16", demi size.
Filling System Piston/plunger (Vacumatic) filler. We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working perfectly.
Color Dark blue (Cedar Blue) body with a Lustraloy (brushed steel) cap, a chrome plated arrow clip, and a pearlescent cap jewel.
Nib FINE gold nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition. Light scratching and handwear, but no major marks. The section has the typical scratches from the cap lip. The cap has small shiny surface marks. The cap jewel has surface crazing, and has yellowed somewhat. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprint is clear and readable. The pen is fully restored and working well.
