Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Parker 75, Place Vendome series
Manufacturer and Year Parker, France -- c. 1968-79 (the "Flamme" pattern was introduced in 1968, and there's no date code, suggesting it was made before 1980 when date codes were reintroduced in France). The nib was made in the USA.
Length 5-1/16"
Filling System Cartridges or converter. A squeeze converter is installed.
Color The pattern is called Flamme. The Parker75 site tells us that it is silverplate over brass, but it doesn't seem to have picked up much tarnish, so it could be rhodium plated. The lined pattern creates a very shimmery and shiny pen.
Nib Medium 14K Parker USA nib. It's smooth and firm, with nice tipping. The feed is marked with an M.
Condition Excellent condition. In hand, the pen is very shiny and and pretty. Under magnification, we see micoscratching and a few tiny surface marks on the cap and barrel. There's a bit of tarnish, mostly located in the grooved pattern. The section has scratching from capping. No personalization. The imprints are clear.
