Nib Heavy Italic 18k nib is smooth. It is marked 98 on the feed, which indicates that this is a Heavy (a.k.a. Broad) Italic nib.
Condition Excellent + condition. Slight microscratching and handwear. The date code on the imprint is clear. There is a tiny bit of plating wear on the trim ring nearest the nib. The cap and barrel trim rings look great, as does the clip - no brassing or plating wear. The end finial has some moderate scratches and shallow bite marks. No cracks, chips, scratches, dents, or dings. Overall the pen looks great.
Parker officially introduced the Duofold Centennial in 1988 to commemorate the company's 100-year jubilee, but production started in 1987.
