Product Description
Type Fountain pen with aerometric filing system.
Product Name Senior Duofold
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in England -- 1953-8 (We couldn't make out a date code on the barrel and there wasn't one on the nib, but the English Duofolds adopted aerometric systems in 1953 and the Duofold Senior was discontinued in 1958).
Length 5-9/16 inches.
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filler like that of the later Parker 51s and the Parker 21s. We've cleaned and tested it and it's working very well.
Color Green cap and barrel with gold plated trim. Thin size cap band with a chevron pattern (it looks sort of like this: ////\\\\////\\\\). It has a green cap jewel that matches the rest of the pen. The green looks pretty teal-like in the photos, but it's much greener in hand.
Nib BROAD 14k nib. It's super smooth and fairly firm with great tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition. Low handwear with a few marks on the barrel. The cap band looks really great and there's some plating wear on the clip and tassie. The imprint is mostly legible, though we didn't manage to photograph it. The details of the arrow clip and cap band are crisp. No cracks, chips, dents, or scratches. It's working very well.
