Product Description
Type Vintage Aerometric filling fountain pen.
Product Name New Standard Duofold (the imprint is mostly worn away, but it's the proper size for a New Standard, with the correct #25 nib).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in England -- circa 1960s.
Length New Standard size, about 5-1/8 inches long.
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filler like the later Parker 51s and the Parker 21s. We've tested it and it's working well.
Color Green with gold plated trim and a green cap jewel (the color is more green than it appears in our photos). 1/8" wide cap band with a lined triangles pattern (which looks sort of like this: ////\\\\////\\\\).
Nib MEDIUM open nib is marked Parker 14k England 25 4. It's in great condition, very smooth with excellent tipping material. It's a little less than what we would call flexible, but good every day flex that's a bit more than semi-flex. Without much pressure you can get it from a medium line to a nice large broad and even double broad. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. There are some light scratches and marks of wear on the cap and barrel. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, or plating wear. The imprint is a bit worn, but still readable. It's working very well.
