Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen with aerometric filing system.
Product Name Senior Duofold (based on its size and styling).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, England - circa 1950s or '60s.
Length 5-9/16 inches.
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filler like the later Parker 51s and the Parker 21s. We've cleaned and tested it and it's working very well.
Color Vibrant red color is really beautiful, with gold plated trim and a thin size cap band with a lined triangles pattern (it looks sort of like this: ////\\\\////\\\\).
Nib BROAD open 14k nib is marked Parker England 30 4 with three dots underneath. The 4 may indicate that it was made in 1954, and the other number usually indicates the model, though the number 30 does not correlate with any of the models we were able to research (we'd expect to see a 35 nib on a Senior Duofold). It's very smooth and a little flexible with lovely tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition. There's some light handwear and scratching on the cap and barrel, a few scratches on the red cap jewel, and some brassing on the very sides of the clip. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprint is a bit worn but mostly readable. The pen is working very well.
