Type Vintage Vacumatic-filling fountain pen.
Product Name Duofold Vacumatic, aka "Duovac" -- Junior model (about the same size as a major, but with no Blue Diamond and with two thin cap bands). This is the larger of the two juniors, the smaller being the Ingenue.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1940 (the date code is a clear 0 with no dots).
Length 5-3/16".
Filling System Vacumatic "Speedline" filler. We've restored the filling system with a new diaphragm and it's working perfectly. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Red and grey (alternating with dark transluscent stripes) body and cap, with gold plated trim, two thin cap bands, and a black cap jewel.
Nib FINE gold Parker Pen nib. The nib says "Parker Pen Made in the U.S.A."
Condition Very nice condition without cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully colored, shiny pen with nice barrel ambered transparency. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and moderate to some heavy scratching. There are some long scratches, cluster scratch marks, and small bite-like marks near the end. The cap has moderate scratching. The two thin cap bands have plating wear. The clip has small microscratches along the bottom edge. The clip ring has light plating wear and a few small scratches along the top edge. The black jewel is shiny and dark with one small scratch in the center. The imprint is legible as is the date code.
