Product Name Duofold Vacumatic filler aka "Duovac" Senior. This is the later Senior version.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in U.S.A. -- 1945 (the date code is a clear 5 with no dots.).
Length 5-3/8 inches.
Filling System Standard plastic plunger Vacumatic filling system. We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working very well.
Color "Green Stripe" color, stripes of black and stripes of various shades of blue and gray. It has a flat blue diamond clip and a 1/8" wide cap band with a chevron pattern.
Nib MEDIUM Parker gold nib. It's smooth and somewhat firm with nice tipping material. We are calling this pen a medium, but it is on the narrow side. This is the V style nib, and was originally two-toned, but no masking is visible.
Condition Excellent condition. There are some scratches and marks on the barrel near the section and blind cap. The blind cap also has some bite marks. The barrel transparency is very strong and the barrel imprint is clear. The cap band has moderate scratching, and a couple of dots of plating wear along the edges. The clip has some plating wear along the sides. The blue diamond is intact. The cap tassie has some plating wear around the top edge. The cap jewel has marks around the edge. There are no cracks, dents, or personalization to be found on this pen. It has been fully restored and it's working very well.
