Product Description
Type Vintage button filling fountain pen.
Product Name Lady Duofold (according to the Parker Duofold book by Shepherd and Zazove). It's a short slender "lady pen" with a clip, also called a Juniorette. This is the streamline shape.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA – 1930s (there's no date code).
Length 4-1/2 inches.
Filling System Button filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Mandarin yellow with gold plated trim and three thin cap bands. Black end pieces and section.
Nib FINE gold Parker Duofold Pen nib. There is a hairline crack running from the breather hole and stops short of the "F" in Duofold. This is a stable crack and will only be made worse by writing with too much pressure. Since this is not a flexible nib, there would be no reason to put stress on the crack.
Condition Excellent condition. This is a small, slender pen, in a bright color, and with classic design features. The cap and barrel have moderate scratching (it is difficult to see scratches because of the color). The section has some small, deep marks. The cap rings are shiny with plating wear along the edges. The clip has plating wear on the ball with some light scratching along the clip surface. The top tassie has some small surface marks. The imprint is quite faint but can be seen with magnification.
