Filling System Button filler. We've replaced it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Completely covered in a layer of gold filled metal, under that there is no doubt black hard rubber barrel and cap. Gold fill overlay is etched in an alternating pattern of pinstripes and a wavy chased pattern.

Condition Excellent with no cracks or chips. This is a dainty, gorgeous pen with a delightful gold filled overlay pattern. The cap, barrel, and trim look good. The barrel is personalized with the initials "MLS" in script. The lip of the cap is largely smooth and even. There is some brassing just above the cap edge. The top of the cap has a bit of plating wear around the edge. The ringtop hardware is in good shape. The blind cap has some brassing on the end. The end of the barrel, next to the blind cap, also has a ring of brassing. There are several shallow dents on the barrel, which you can see in the photos. The imprints on the cap band are clear.
