Product Description
Type Fountain pen and mechanical pencil set.
Product Name Parkette Slender De Luxe
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA – 1935 (the date code is clear on both barrels and the nib).
Length The pen is 4-13/16", the pencil is just barely under 4-3/4".
Filling System The pen is a lever filler, we've restored it with a new sac. The pencil takes 1.1mm (or "thick") leads which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. We'll include a small packet of leads.
Color Green marble finish with shallow grooves in the caps and barrels for grip. Gold plated trim with triple cap bands.
Nib FINE two tone Parkette nib is smooth with nice tipping material remaining. The masking on the lower part of the nib is somewhat worn but this does not affect its writing at all. It's got just a little semi-flexibility to it and the line varies easily to a medium.
Condition Very nice condition with smooth and shiny surfaces. There's some plating wear on both pen and pencil's clips, a little on the pen's cap bands, more on those of the pencil, and there's some wear on the pencil's cone. There's a small spot on the back of the pen's cap where the plastic seems bumpy with a small area of whitish coloring. There's only light scratching on the caps and barrels, and both pieces have a lot of shine to them. No cracks or chips, no dings or dents, and no personalization. The imprints are very crisp and readable, and both pieces are working very well.
