Product Description
Type High-end modern fountain pen.
Product Name Sonnet (this is the first version with the thin cap bands).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, France -- 1990s
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System The pen takes Parker style cartridges and converters. A squeeze converter is installed.
Color Laque Firedance finish of black and red lacquer in a lovely pattern with 23k gold plated trim. It's a pretty even mix of red and black.
Nib MEDIUM 18k gold nib. it's marked M on the feed. It has a little bit of flexibility to it, the sort of springy-ness you find in modern nibs, not like vintage flex. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a lovely pen in a great color. The cap and barrel have light scratching. The cap has surface flaws just above the cap band, and a few tiny dots of chipped enamel near the top. There is a little plating wear on the thin cap band. The clip looks great. There are no imprints on this pen other than the Parker nib imprints that are clear.
