Product Description
Type | fountain pen |
Product Name | Parker "Super 21" -- this is the hard to find "Flighter" model with a brushed stainless steel cap and body. The sections of these Flighters were made of colored plastic in 5 different colors. The end of the body is a little squared-off with a gentle dome, as opposed to the all plastic Super 21 bodies which have a rounded end. |
Manufacturer and Year | Parker introduced the Super 21 in 1956 and made them up until 1965. I believe the Flighters were produced in the 1960s. They were a definite improvement on the standard model 21, because the Super featured the same tubular octanium nib as the 51 Special and the 41. They also have a smaller exposed oval feed area than the regular 21, similar to the 51. The clip is fancier too, and similar to the one used on the 45. |
Length | 5-3/16" |
Filling System | aerometric squeeze filler |
Color | "Satin Lustraloy" cap with a matching body. The sections are colored. Make your color selection from the pulldown menu. |
Nib | Alloy nibs in fine. (Unlike the Super 21s, which had the nib marked on a clip tag, these are not marked individually and we are basing the nib on what was marked on the wholesale box and a quick visual check.) |
