Parker Vacumatic fountain pen from 1949 in the Debutante size. Black with gold filled trim. Nib is fine and flexible. Excellent condition, fully restored and working well.

Product Name  Vacumatic Debutante, a more upscale version of the small Vacumatic with a Blue Diamond clip, two-tone nib and a chevron cap band.

Manufacturer and Year  Parker, USA -- 1949 (date code is clear ".9.")

Length  4-5/8" Debutante size

Filling System  Vacumatic filling system, restored here at Peyton Street Pens. This is the Speedline filler version.

Color  Black with gold filled trim.  The cap and barrel have black jewels, and the cap band is in the chevron and diamond pattern. It has black jewels on the cap.

Nib  FINE 14k flexible nib with good tipping. Two-tone nib which is correct for this model. Excellent condition, with nice flex - see writing sample below. 

Condition  Excellent condition.  The section, barrel, and cap have micro-scratching but the overall impression is good. No cracks or deep scratches. The short clip looks very good as does its jewel.  The imprint is very clear. The cap band looks very good. This is a very pretty little pen.

Payment Policy: Paying via Credit Card or PayPal are the only methods allowed for addresses outside the United States. Customers from the United States also have the option of sending a check, money order or cashier's check. Payment method is selected during checkout.

Domestic US Shipping Policy: For the most part, shipping to US addresses is free and is made via first class mail.

International Shipping PolicyInternational shipping is based on weight, and we give you a choice (depending on country) of first class, first class registered, priority mail or express delivery (only Express Mail provides true tracking). Internatonal shipments valued at over $40 come with free insurance, unless that service is not available for your specific country. Most of our customers opt for the very reasonably priced first class mail method, which can take anywhere from one to four weeks. We are happy to discuss alternatives to the options currently offered during the checkout process, so please contact us if you'd like a quote.

Most countries charge customs fees on shipments from the United States, but this is not something we can estimate and there is no way to pay these fees in advance. It is the responsibility of the customer to anticipate these costs and pay them when they are assessed by your country or postal system.
