Product Description
Type Restored fountain pen
Product Name Vacumatic Major
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1930s (There is no date code, however the one-piece barrel/section makes it an early model from the 1930s).
Length 5-1/16"
Filling System The filling system has been restored by us with a new diaphragm, and it has been tested. (We will guarantee the filling system for one year from purchase.) This is the aluminum lockdown version and the correct plunger for when it was made.
Color Grey Pearl body with alternating bands of amber and a gray gradient. It has a striped jewel at the end of the cap and at the end of the barrel. It has three thin cap bands. We believe the barrel is all one piece -- there is no separate section, and the nib has a collar that fits into the section.
Nib FINE 14k nib is in excellent condition with lots of tipping material. The silver-colored masking on the nib is strong.
Condition Excellent condition for this very pretty, shiny pen. The coloration is excellent and although there is some light ambering, it is consistent throughout the pen. The cap and barrel have only microscratching. The trim has some plating wear. The imprint is worn but can be seen with magnification. The jewels have a little scratching but the color is really nice and unique. No cracks, chips, dings, dents, or major scratches.
