Product Description
Type Restored fountain pen
Product Name Vacumatic Major
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- Circa 1943 (We can't make out the date code on the barrel but the nib has a date code for 1943 which matches all components of the pen)
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System The filling system has been restored by us with a new diaphragm, and it has been tested. (We will guarantee the filling system for one year from purchase.) This has the late plastic plunger which is the correct plunger for when it was made.
Color Laminated Grey Pearl body with alternating bands of amber and a gray gradient. It has a striped jewel in the cap (we usually see these with black jewels). The cap band has a chevron pattern. The trim is nickel plated to match the Grey Pearl and is the only Vacumatic to have nickel plated trim.
Nib FINE 14k nib is in excellent condition with very nice tipping material. The nib has a date code of 3 with three dots, which means it's from 1943. The feed has an A on it which indicates a non-standard feed.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap jewel is perfect and the trim is very good with light wear on the clip. There are bite marks and some small scrapes on the cap. The barrel transparency is there but the semi-transparent bands are quite ambered.
