Product Description
Type Vintage vacumatic fountain pen.
Product Name Vacumatic Major.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA - 1944 (the barrel is marked clearly 4 with three dots, though the nib is marked 51, so it was probably replaced in that year).
Length Major size, barely over 5-1/16".
Filling System Vacumatic (piston/plunger) filling system. We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working very well.
Color Black with gold plated trim and the chevron cap band that sort of looks like //\\\////\\\///.
Nib MEDIUM-FINE 14k arrow nib is smooth with excellent tipping. The nib looks new, so it might have been a replacement.
Condition Excellent condition, the barrel clarity is really good. There is light wear on the cap and barrel, a little plating wear on the corners of the clip and on the gold ring that surrounds the cap jewel. There's one very light, small indent in the cap band. No cracks or chips, no personalization. The imprint is quite clear and readable. Fully restored and working well.
