Parker 1938 Maxima Vacumatic fountain pen in transparent black. Speedline filler. This is the "Maxima" size (5-5/16") with the Blue Diamond clip and wide chevron cap band. Restored with a new diaphragm and in excellent + condition. Fine 14k two-tone nib.

Product Name  Parker Vacumatic Maxima. The Maxima is the largest Vacumatic model, with a fatter barrel and cap and a bigger nib.

Manufacturer and Year  Parker USA - circa 1938 (The imprint on the barrel is a clear 8.)

Length  5-5/16 inches (Maxima size).

Filling System Vacumatic speedline filler is in working condition. The filling system has been restored by us with a new diaphragm, and it has been tested. (We will guarantee the filling system for one year from purchase.)

Color  Black barrel with ambered transparent horizontal lines; black cap; 3/16" gold Chevron style cap band; two black jewels at either end.  Blue diamond clip.  

Nib  14k fine two-tone nib. Writes very smoothly with a wet line. Lots of tipping material in evidence. 

Condition  Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings.  This is a large classic vacumatic pen with great shine and transparency on the barrel.  There is only microscratching on the cap and barrel and a bit of plating wear on the cap band. The blue diamond looks great and is intact.  The end jewels are lovely  The imprints are clear, including the date imprint.
