Product Name Parker Vacumatic Maxima. The Maxima is the largest Vacumatic model, with a fatter barrel and cap and a bigger nib.
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - circa 1940. There is a ".0." imprint on the barrel.
Length 5-5/16 inches (Maxima size).
Filling System Vacumatic speedline filler is in working condition. The filling system has been restored by us with a new diaphragm, and it has been tested. (We will guarantee the filling system for one year from purchase.)
Color Golden brown barrel and cap with ambered transparent horizontal lines. 1/4" gold Chevron style cap band, striped jewel matching pen coloration on top of cap, and a black jewel at the end of the barrel. Blue diamond clip.
Nib Extra-fine 14k nib. Firm and smooth. Not needle fine, but it looks finer than the nibs we classify as fine.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large-sized, beautifully colored, very shiny pen with excellent barrel transparency. The barrel has faint marks caused by the cap lip. The cap has scattered small marks. The cap band is lovely. The clip has a bit of plating wear at the end of the arrow, as well at the top of the fletching. Some of the nib masking has been polished away. The blue diamond is perfectly intact. Both jewels are perfect. The imprints are clear.
