Product Name Vacumatic Sub Deb, this was the successor to the Junior Debutante
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1942 (The date code is a clear 2 with two dots. 1942 is the year the plastic plunger was released).
Length 4-11/16"
Filling System Vacumatic filling system, restored here at Peyton Street Pens. This is the late plastic plunger version.
Color Golden Brown body and cap with gold plated trim. It has alternating brown pearl bands and semi-transparent golden bands. The cap has a black cap jewel and a patterned cap band just over 1/8" wide. It has a blue diamond clip.
Nib FINE 14k two-toned nib, verging on the extra fine. Some of the masking has been polished away. It is smooth and writes well. The feed has a faint A on it which identifies it as "account" for firm, fine nibs.
Condition Excellent condition. Light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel. The barrel transparency is fantastic with no ambering on the bands. The barrel imprints are legible. The cap band looks good, with no obvious brassing. The clip has brassing on the sides and around the arrow tip. No cracks, chips, or dents. It's fully restored and working well.
