Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name New Parker VS ("Vacumatic Successor")
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in England - circa late 1940s (there is no date code). The M.I.D. mark may indicate Danish manufacture, but the filling system is marked England.
Length 5-7/16"
Filling System Aerometric filling system. We tested it and it's working well.
Color Blue body with a rolled gold cap in a pattern of groups of 4 lines up and down the cap.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE nib is marked simply "Parker," but we're pretty sure it's gold. It's in nice condition, with really good tipping. It's fully flexible with easy line variation from fine to double broad. It looks nearly brand new.
Condition Superior condition. There are some small, fairly light scratches on the barrel where the cap touches it when it's on or posting. There's just some very tiny spots of wear visible in the gold cap and just a tiny bit of brassing on the very edges/underside of the clip. No chips or cracks. It's working very well, and the color is really beautiful, it does not appear to have changed at all over time.
The imprint on the barrel is just a tiny bit worn, very readable, with most of its white coloring still present. It reads New Parker VS — M.I.D. —
