Filling System The fountain pen uses a piston filling system, which has been tested and is working well. The pencil takes 1.1mm leads.
Color Green striped version with black cap, section, and piston knob. The trim is gold plated. The green lengthwise stripes alternate with transparent yellow-green lengthwise stripes.
Nib OBLIQUE MEDIUM 14k semi-flexible nib. It puts down nice narrow lines when unflexed and a nice broad when flexed. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition, in box. Fountain pen: the barrel transparency is excellent. The cap band has brassing and some plating wear along the edges. The clip and clip ring also show brassing and plating wear. Light handwear and scratching on the barrel and cap. No cracks, chips, dents or dings. The imprints on the cap band and end of the barrel are clear. Pencil: Light handwear and scratching. The clip and clip ring have some brassing along the edges. The other gold trim - nose cone, middle band, and crown cap ring - all look great, with just light scratching. The striped "cap" portion is personalized with "Farbwerke Hoechst AG", the name of a German chemical company. Ships in original box. One of the short ends of the box top is torn, but overall the box is in good condition.
