Color The Polar Lights model depicts the solar wind phenomenon known as the Aurora Borealis in the northern hemisphere, and Aurora Australis in the southern hemisphere, where electrically charged particles from the Sun react with the Earth's magnetosphere, release energy in the form of light, and give us a brilliant nighttime display. The cap, section, and piston knob are black and the barrel is a lacquered white/green/black gradient with platinum designs. The M640 differs from most Pelikan fountain pens by having curvature to the barrel and a different cap design. It has rhodium plated trim.
Nib Medium 18k nib. It's very smooth and has rhodium plating. It is nicely springy.
Condition Near mint condition. No cracks or scratches. The pelican on the cap jewel looks great and the trim is perfect. It has a bit of handwear but the trim on the collar looks perfect. It's hard to find nib collars as clean as this one.
