Product Name New Classic, model R395/R381. Note that this is probably a "FRANKENPEN".... The barrel and section is from the R395 model (gold-plated barleycorn guilloche), and the cap comes from the R381, the black lacquer version.
Manufacturer and Year Pelikan, Germany -- 1992-5 was the span of this model's production.

Filling System Takes Pelikan (proprietary) rollerball refills, and there are 3rd party versions available. A working refill is installed.
Color Gold plated barrel in a guilloche or barleycorn pattern. The cap is black lacquer. The end pieces and clip are smooth and gold plated. The section is black and textured. It has a Pelikan emblem on the cap's crown.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a shiny, shimmery, elegant pen in a pretty design pattern. The barrel looks excellent. The cap (which is not original to the barrel) has light microscratching. The trim, clip, and cap band have moderate microscratching but are clean with no brassing or plating wear. The imprints are clear. Ships in a plastic Pelikan box with flocked lining and paperwork.
