Color A black pen with gold painted cloud wisps and a houou or Chinese phoenix. This phoenix design gets used a lot on Pilot pens with its spread wings, horn-like head and torch in its beak. It is signed by the artist.
Nib FINE 14k nib with date code 791.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks or scratches. This is a beautifully designed pen, dark black and shiny, with a beautiful signed image of the Phoenix with its spread wings, horn-like head and torch in its beak. The barrel has some light microscratching. The gold end piece has light microscratching. The cap has a tiny depressed spot just above from the cap band (not a scratch or chip); it is otherwise perfect. The clip has light microscratching. The gold band on top of the cap has light microscratching and some microdots of plating wear. The imprints are clear.
