Product Description
Type Capless fountain pen - nib retracts like a ballpoint
Product Name Vanishing Point
Manufacturer and Year Pilot (Namiki) Japan -- 2016 (nib code is 716)
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Proprietary Pilot cartridge or Pilot piston converter (CON-20, CON-40, and CON-50). Using a cartridge requires a metal "shield" or cap to prevent the cartridge from being squished. This pen includes a CON-50 converter.
Color Deep Red, a deep warm red, with rhodium trim.
Nib Medium gold-colored "special alloy" (steel) nib. THAT'S NOT A TYPO. Pilot sells this version of the pen in Japan, while we usually see a 14k or 18k gold nib in the US.
Condition Near mint condition. No evidence that the pen was ever inked. Light microscratching on the cap and barrel, but no cracks, chips, big scratches, or dents. The hangtag indicating the model and nib size is present and attached, as is the barrel sticker indicating nib size. Both tags have some slight wrinkles on the edges. The imprints are clear.
(Note: the first picture shows some marks on the clip. It was residue from the clip tag, which we've removed post-photography.)
