Filling System Takes Pilot converters or cartridges. A piston converter is installed. It can also take Pilot and Namiki cartridges but an adapter is required; the adapter is included under the platform in the box.
Color Abalone shell pieces are hand inlaid in a scattered pattern, like stars in the sky, over shiny black lacquer. It has rhodium plated trim.
Nib XXXF 18k nib with a Waverly upturn. The pen originally had a Pilot fine nib, but there's a note in the box indicating that it was modified by Richard Binder to be XXXF and with a "Waverley" upturn at the tip for a smooth feel.
WARNING: This nib is not going to be suitable for the majority of pen users out there, it is extremely fine and requires a light hand. Please don't order this pen just out of curiosity, because if the delicate nib gets damaged we will not be able to give you a refund.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box with paperwork. The abalone seamlessly merges with the rest of the pen. The finish is very even. There are some fine scratches on the cone and clicker, but the barrel surface looks great. No chips, cracks, dents, or scratches. In original Namiki box with paperwork.
