Manufacturer and Year Retro 51, the company is in the USA but it uses Schmidt nibs (from Germany) and the rest of the components are manufactured in Taiwan -- 2005-11. Retro51 released a different Cioppino version in 2019, but that one had rose gold trim.

Filling System Takes international style cartridges ONLY. We searched high and low and could not find a converter that fits. The small pamphlet that accompanies the pen also only mentions cartridges. There is a tube of blue ink cartridges located underneath the platform in the storage tube.
Color Cioppino - black with abalone shells, and silver colored trim. The section is black plastic.
Nib FINE steel nib.
Condition Excellent + condition. There is very light handwear and microscratching. The trim has microscratching and polishing marks. The imprints are easy to read. Ships in storage tube inside cardboard box. The outer box is a bit beat up. The storage tube also has a sleeve of ink cartridges located under the platform, as well as the original pamphlet.
