Product Description
Type Modern limited edition fountain pen
Product Name Sailor Antoni Gaudi Pluma Parabolica Pen, #23/300.
Manufacturer and Year Sailor, Japan, 2002.
Length Just shy of 6" long. Its also quite heavy, as it's made of solid brass - 66 grams.
Filling System Takes Sailor cartridges or converters. A Sailor converter is installed.
Color Brass, but with a special patina. Most of the surface looks almost silvery, though in some lights you see the brass/gold come out. Shiny brass accents, including the contoured section.
Nib Nagahara Medium 21k gold nib. (The nib is semi-hooded and we can't see the hallmarks. We've seen conflicting reports on whether this is 18k or 21k gold, but 21k is more typical of Sailor.)
Condition Excellent + condition in collector's box. This is a really impressive looking pen. The surface has the appearance of a rough finish, but that's the result of the process that created the unique patinaed look. Under magnification, we see some tiny little marks in the surface of the cap and barrel, but these are nearly indistinguishable in hand. The shiny brass accents all look fantastic, very smooth with just some light polishing marks. The imprints are clear.
Pen ships in original packaging - a beautiful blue storage box with paperwork, a spare cartridge, and a polishing cloth. The box has some surface scuffs
