Type lever fill fountain pen

Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA, 1937-42.
Length Both fountain pen and pencil are 5-1/4" long.
Filling System Lever filler (works well, restored). Twisting the pencil around the middle extends and retracts the lead.
Color Marine Green striated (striped) with gold plated trim. Clear window on grip section. Upgraded "jewelers" 5/16" gold lined cap band with a smooth area for engraving/personalization. Radius clip - this is the clip that has a flattened ball end and is streamlined.
Nib Fine #3 nib. Firm and smooth. Pencil takes thick 1.1mm lead.
Condition Excellent condition with some brassing. Fountain pen has handwear and microscratching, but no significant individual scratches, or cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The clip has brassing along the edges, as does the cap band and lever. Imprints are clear and easily readable. Pencil has similar handwear and microscratching. The clip has brassing at the top and on the ball end. The pencil band has some brassing on the edges, but less than the pen's cap band. The nose cone has a couple of tool marks and some touches of brassing. Both pieces are personalized on the bands with the initials "HAS".
