Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Balance Lifetime 875, the 875 is marked at the bottom of the barrel imprint. Around 1938 Sheaffer Balances started having model names. This one's would have been, "Lady Sheaffer.".
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1936-42 (those were the years they made Balances in this color).
Length 4-7/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black pen with gold filled trim including a 1/8" cap band. It has a radius clip and a white dot.
Nib FINE two-tone Sheaffer's Lifetime nib with a serial number. It's smooth and firm with nice tipping material. The masking is in great condition.
Condition Excellent condition with very little plating wear. The pen has consistent handwear and shallow bite marks at the top of the cap and end of the barrel. The barrel imprint is very clean. The viewing window is clear with some stress marks. There are some scratches and dings on the cap lip, but no cracks. The pen is has been fully restored and is working very well.
