Type Vintage oversized lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Balance Lifetime, standard size. Please note that the barrel bears the 500 imprint with a little bump before it, and we know the 500 models to be no-white dot and non-lifetime. This bear a white dot cap and the lifetime nib, so the barrel may be a replacement or a mis-print
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA – circa 1935-42 (due to the radius style clip).

Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black with gold plated trim, a radius style clip, and a 1/8" cap band.
Nib FINE two tone gold Sheaffer's Lifetime open nib with a serial number. It's smooth with nice tipping material, and firm. It has a slight upturn to it at its tip.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents. Light wear only on the trim, it's almost like new. There's an expansion crack on the very top of the cap, fairly common in these Balance pens. The imprint is still super clear and readable. It's fully restored and working well.
