Condition Excellent + condition. The fountain pen is large and shiny. The barrel has light scratching. These celluloid OS Balances commonly have little fissures near the tip of the cap, but this one doesn't. What it does have is a number of small indents, possibly toothmarks, or from tapping the pen against the edge of a desk. No cracks, chips, or personalization. The end of the barrel has an area that's a translucent cool green color, which we've highlighted in the photographs below. The cap band looks good, just tiny spots of brassing on the edges. The ball of the clip has brassing, as does the edge of the length of the clip. The White Dot looks great. No personalization. The imprints are crisp and clear. The pencil is likewise in excellent condition. It has similar marks at the top of the "cap" end. There is also light scratching all over but is generally quite nice with no other significant marks. There is slight brassing on all of the metal trim. No personalization.
