Type Vintage lever filling oversized fountain pen.
Product Name Balance Lifetime (this is an oversized model and very fat).
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in USA -- 1935-42 (those were the years they made the Balance with this "radius" clip).
Length 5-9/16". The barrel is .52 in diameter.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working perfectly.
Color Jet Black with gold plated trim, a 1/8" wide cap band, and a radius style clip. White dot above the clip.
Nib FINE gold Lifetime nib. It's smooth and firm.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large and impressive velvety black, shiny pen. The cap and barrel have light to moderate scratches. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip. The lever has some plating wear along the sides. The cap band has moderate small scratch marks. The clip has brassing along the sides and microscratches; the ball end looks really good. The white dot is clean. The imprint is clear and easily readable.
